PROPERTY TOKENIZATION IS NOW A REALITY IN DUBAI

With plenty of buzz since the initial announcement, Dubai's investors wasted no time-every unit of the first tokenized property project was sold out on the launch day itself!

The key feature that attracts clients to invest in Dubai properties is the affordability of tokenization shares. This particular project drew in 244 investors, interestingly 70% of them were first-time buyers. One major reason was that the investors could start investing with as little as AED 2,000, making property investment far more accessible to a broader audience.

Launched by the Dubai Land Department in collaboration with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority [VARA] , the Central Bank of The UAE , and the DUBAI FUTURE FOUNDATION , took this step via the Real Estate Sandbox, powered by PRYPCO Mint. Currently it is only open to Dubai residents using AED; however, plans are underway to expand access to a broader international investor pool and welcoming other modes of payment including cryptocurrency.

This expansion of Dubai's real estate investor base further supports the city's ongoing real estate boom. It makes buying apartments and villas in Dubai a more attainable goal for a lot of people. Real estate tokenization enables digital token transaction of property, attracting more investors faster than the traditional buying and selling in Dubai.
