What Buyers Are Looking For, As Dubai’s Ready Apartment Sales Rise.

13/10/2026

Dubai’s property market offers buyers two main choices: purchase a home that is still being built or choose a completed property. Recent sales figures suggest that ready apartments continue to attract strong interest.

According to the Arabian Business, Dubai's ready apartment sales reached AED 12.8 billion in Q3 2026, up 16.4% from the previous quarter. The number of transactions also increased by 21.9% to 7,825. These figures are based on an analysis of Dubai Land Department data.

Why Are Ready Apartments Attracting Buyers?

One advantage of buying a ready apartment is that buyers can see exactly what they are purchasing. They can inspect the property, check the building and understand the surrounding community before making a decision.

Completed homes can also suit buyers who want to move in soon or start renting out their property without waiting for construction  to finish.

This doesn’t mean off-plan properties have lost their appeal. They offer different payment structures and choices for buyers who are planning ahead. The right option depends on each buyer’s budget, timelines and goals.

Which Areas Are Seeing More Activity?

During the first nine months of 2026, Jumeirah Village Circle showed the highest numbers of ready apartment sales of 3,063 transactions with a value around AED 3 billion.

Business Bay and Dubai Marina also ranked among the leading areas by transaction volume. Their established locations and the range of residential options make them relevant to home buyers with different needs.

The figures also show differences in the types of homes buyers purchase. One bedroom apartments accounted for 42.7% of ready apartment transactions during the first nine months of the year. Two bedroom apartments generated the highest total sales value by bedroom type.

What Does This Mean For Buyers and Investors?

The rise in ready apartment sales shows that completed homes remain an important part of Dubai’s property market. However, higher sales value does not automatically mean property processes have increased by the same amount. It reflects the total value of completed transactions.

For buyers, the next step is to compare properties based on location, condition, service charges, rental potential and their budget. Investors should also consider expected costs and demand for similar homes in the area.

Dubai’s ready apartment market offers options for both end-users and investors. Understanding the differences between areas and properties can help buyers make decisions that suit their individual needs.
